This is a great place to visit whether you have a full day to explore or only a few hours there is an admissions package for you. They have three full size theaters showing three different immersive sky shows.
Things to Do
Grainger Sky Theater – The largest dome theater at the planetarium, using the most advanced technology to enhanced the theater for your viewing experience.
Destination Solar System – A live show that takes you on a tour of the Solar System.
Cosmic Wonder – A live show that tells the story of how, through time the cosmos has been put together. There are experts on hand for questions and answers.
Definiti Space Theater – This is the second dome theater at the planetarium and will take you on an amazing journey with one of its featured shows.
Adler Planetarium Insider Tips
Adler Planetarium is easy get to from anywhere in Chicago by taking the CTA to Roosevelt or the Metra to the Museum Campus.
When visiting either the Grainger Sky Theater or the Definiti Space Theater arrive 10-minutes prior to the shows start time. There is no late seating in this theater.
The Anytime All Access Pass is available only online. The All Access Pass is available only on-site.

Illinois Teachers (Pre-K to 12) and Active Military personnel receive free admission with proper ID. City of Chicago residents receive special discounts as well.
