Activity Overview

Take the ferry over the river to offer the kids an unforgettable experience. The Anderson Ferry has been operating continuously since 1817 and is not only one of the best ways to pass the river, but it also offers parents the opportunity to take the kids on an adventure. Generations of Cincinnati locals used the ferry to cross the river for work or fun and nowadays the experience is certainly worth your time.

The Anderson Ferry is a landmark of the Cincinnati area and it saves around 20 miles of driving. The kids will enjoy the fact that they can get out of the car to admire the river and feel a little bit like Tom Sawyer. The ride over the river only takes a couple of minutes.

Things to Do

  • Make the most of the time you spend with the kids on the ferry and take some pictures of the lake.
  • A ride on the Anderson Ferry will offer the entire family a chance to see a lot of river traffic up close.

Anderson Ferry Insider Tips

  • Discounts are available for round trips.
  • Pets are welcome on the ferry.
  • The ferry runs every day of the year except for Christmas Day. It has a summer and winter schedule, so it would be a good idea to check the times before planning a trip.
