Haulover Park is a beautiful 99-acre park in Miami that features 1.4 miles of white sandy beaches. This large undeveloped coastal area is famous for its pristine beaches, which make it one of the area's most popular tourist attractions.

If you're looking for a great place to swim, fly a kite, or have a family picnic on the beach, visit Haulover Park! In addition to typical beach activities, you can also get some exercise on the tennis courts, take a boat out from the marina to go fishing, or attend a fitness class by the water.

Things to Do

• Fly a kite! Haulover Park is considered to be one of the best places in Florida to fly a kite due to its ocean breezes and wide open spaces. If you don't have one, you can always buy a kite from nearby Skyward Kites for as little as $5.
• Go for a swim or sunbathe - Haulover Park is famous for its beautiful sandy beaches! Lifeguards are provided year-round to help ensure the safety of visitors.
• Have a family picnic on the beach or in one of the park's picnic shelters. The shelters, which must be reserved, feature picnic tables and barbecue grills.
• Play a game or two of tennis - the courts are open from 8:00 a.m. until sunset every day of the week.

Haulover Park Insider Tips

• Make sure to bring along some cash to pay for parking - the park doesn't accept credit cards or checks.
• If you plan to go fishing, make sure that you have a valid fishing license and that you only fish in the designated areas.
• There is a popular family-friendly clothing optional beach area located between lifeguard towers #12 and #16 where beachgoers can swim and sunbathe without clothing on. If that's not your thing, just avoid the area.
