Activity Overview

Located just 45 minutes from Albuquerque, the Sandia Peak Aerial Tramway is the perfect choice for spending a fun family day on the slopes. The aerial tramway is the longest one in North America and it will take you to the 10,000-foot peak of the Sandia Mountains.

To enjoy the slopes, you have various options when it comes to tickets and passes. You can also choose from one of the youth programs or children's ski schools, which offers kids nad teenagers all the training they may need for enjoying the slopes at the fullest.

Things to Do

  • Take the tram to the top right before sunset to enjoy some spectacular views of the mountains.
  • The ride itself takes about 15 minutes.
  • Visit the ski museum at the base.
  • For lunch or dinner, try the restaurant at the top, or have a quick bite at the Mexican restaurant at the base before your ride.
