The Levitating Coin Trick is a great little trick to add to your magic routine or to perform for your family and friends. Insert a coin into the undercarriage of the matchbox drawer of a match book and tap the matchbook repeatedly with a pencil. You must be sure to tap the front two top corners of the box ( on the side of the open drawer of the matchbox) as you tap. It's as simple as that. Eventually the coin will peek itself out of the top of the matchbox for all to marvel at.
Materials Needed
- A Coin
- A Pencil
- A Small Matchbox
How to Do It
- Hold a small matchbox in your hand and insert a coin between the cover and the underside of the cardboard drawer.
- Take your pencil and tap the end of the box that is facing upward. While you are tapping it is important to also strike the two corners on the opposite side of where you inserted the coin as shown in the photo above.
- The coin will eventually emerge from the top of the matchbox.
