25 years ago I devised a similar "game" using a round paper plate with a viewing window in front of the letters 'at" and a center hole big enough to pass an empty thread spool through. I glued a smaller circle to a thread spool. This circle had new letters: m,p,c,f,r,th,fl,dr,s,etc. My son enjoyed the power of turning the spool to choose the new word. There are many ways to adapt this idea.
