Here are some snack choices that you can feel good about for your kids when they arrive home with hungry bellies.
- Yogurt Parfait – Layer vanilla yogurt, berries and/or bananas and granola in a glass (if you have sundae glasses, it’s especially delicious-looking). I personally love Stonyfield Farm french vanilla yogurt and Bear Naked granola. Make sure to read the serving size of granola – a little bit goes a long way.
- Smoothie – instead of a parfait, I throw the above ingredients in the blender and have it for breakfast every morning. Delicious.
- Sweet Potato Oven Fries – cut up a sweet potato into thin wedges and shake them in a ziploc bag with olive oil and little bit of salt. Bake them at 400 degrees for 30 minutes.
