Looking for a district other than BUSD with special aid. I'm a parent of a 9 years old girl with a mild hearing loss. She uses hearing aids and is doing OK with that. However, she is behind at school. She is in third grade at John Muir in Berkeley and is in a IEP program. I was told that maybe, that school is not the best option for her, since the academic gap with her classmates is getting bigger. Is there any other district that offer special aid or a program for children in a similar situation? She also is having problem to socialize. She has no friends even though she is friendly and nice. Any suggestions? Desperate mom looking for better options for my child. PC
