Blessing Barn Thrift Store

I wanted to share with families in the area about a thrift store in Bellingham, MA called the Blessing Barn.  They have the best prices on everything from clothing (infants to adults) to household items to furniture to books.  Adult clothing is $1.50 a piece (unless marked) and childrens clothing (size 16 & under is $.75).  Despite great prices, they also have something on sale everyday (see list below).  They do NOT sell toys because they can't test everything that is donated for lead content and do not want to sell something that could harm a child.

I love this place!  I get all my children's clothing here as well as my own.  I am 8 1/2 months pregnant and I've been able to find great, name brand maternity clothing as well.  It's worth checking out!

I agree, and I am also horrified at the manner in which they treat the volunteers. I have visited on several occasions, mostly in the evening on Wed, and was shocked at the tone and treatment of people volunteering their time to help out. I thought it was a Christian thrift store! I am sure not all the staff is so rude to volunteers, but it was very disheartening and has increasingly dissuaded me from returning or donating my items to needy people. There are lots of other thrift stores, in Millis and Attleboro, that would appreciate someone's time and assistance, and they are a bit more organized, and friendlier.

This store was very musty smelling and very unorganized. Children's clothing was throw into plastic bins and you would have to find a place to dump things out to look at the clothes.
