Corn Kielbasi Bisque

We just finished dinner two minutes ago, and I rushed over to publish this recipe! It was originally from Hilshire Farms, but I'll give you the recipe the way I actually cooked it. YUMMY!

Corn Kielbasi Bisque

  • 16 oz. package of low fat turkey kielbasi, cut into quarter inch cubes
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup lowfat margarine
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 cups skim milk
  • 15 oz can whole kernal corn, drained
  • 2 cups cubed potatoes (about 2 medium potatoes)
  • 1/2 the noodles from ramen noodle soup
  • parsley, cheddar cheese and pepper to taste

  1. Cook and drain potatoes. Set aside.
  2. Melt butter in large saucepan over medium heat, add onion, and saute until tender.
  3. Add flour, salt, pepper and stir constantly 1 minute/
  4. Add milk, increase heat and bring to boil, stirring constantly.
  5. Boil and stir one minute.
  6. Add corn and sausage, return to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes.
  7. Add potatoes, a handful of shredded cheddar, broken ramen noodles and parsley to taste. Heat through.
  8. Serve or refrigerate and serve the next day, after all flavors have melded.
