Crazy Compost Bin Discounts from MA DEP

We've been composting for many years and we just heard about this great composter discount this past year. We bought the expensive composters from Gardeners Supply Company in Vermont and they are great. But then my neighbor showed me theirs - an even better one than mine - that they got through our town for under $30! If you're interested in composting and need a composter, check out this site and check the list for your town. These discounts are available for towns and cities in Massachusetts.  Some communities still have composters available - call your town or one close by to find out.  Two types of composters are available at prices between $25 and $43 - if your community still has some available from these grants.  You'll get a great deal and help the environment!

If you need a compost pail for your kitchen, check here. And if you want to find out more about Starbucks' coffee grounds for composting program, check here.

Actually, this grant ran out in 2007. I paid $45, not the advertised $25, for my compost bin the first week of January 2008 in Boston.
