Delicious Substitutions to Make for a Healthier...

Try substituting some healthy stuff into your diet.  You'll feel better and look better too!

Instead of using butter, try using olive, canola, or flax seed oil.

Instead of using dairy, try soy rice milk, or almond milk,  Low fat organic milk is good too!

Instead of using rice, try brown rice, quinoa, or couscous

Instead of using pasta, use whoe wheat pasta.

Instead of packaged snacks, try trail mix, organic granola, or whole grain crackers and cheese.

For flavorings, try lemon or lime juice, herbs, and vinegar.  (I'm a southerner.  Vinegar is a staple!)

Instead of sugar, use honey.

Instead of meat, use beans, tempeh, soy bacon, tofu, or seitan. 

Instead of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, try peanut butter and fruit slices or berries.
