It is easy and simple to make a festive and unusual cheesecake. it all starts with a nobake cheesecake mix. That is simplicity in itself and uses very few added ingredients. It is done in 15 minutes and ready to eat in one hour. To make it more unusual or more festive, add flavorings to the cheesecake mix. Once the crust is done and in the pan you add milk to the mix and stir till it thickens a bit. I added a quarter teaspoon of pure mint extract to the filling when it was mixed and then poured it in the crust. When it was chilled and firm I poured chocolate syrup on individual pieces. You could top it with the Majic Shell that gets nice and firm or spread it with chocolate pudding. You can add in any flavor extract that you want for a different flavor and top it with anything. You could add strawberry extract and top with strawberries. The possibilities are endless. I thought about toppping with peanut butter and chocolate. No bake cheesecake mixes are available at Aldi's and they are very inexpensive. All you need to make one is 3 tablespoons of sugar, 1/3 cup of oleo, and 1 1/2 c milk. There is no baking involved and it's very simple. You could decorate it with candy or other items to make it season or holliday appropriate. You can also mix things into the filling. Add red and green m&m's or crushed peppermint for a Christmas cake. Add jellybeans for an Easter cake or rainbow sprinkles for a Birthday cake.
