Eco-Easy Framed Art for Kid's Rooms
I searched online for ideas on how to decorate my daughter’s room with a horse theme. I found the perfect bedding and curtains, but didn’t like any of the prints to hang on the wall – not to mention the cost of these framed pictures. I decided to think outside the box. My daughter had an old horse and pony-themed calendar in her desk from last year that we were going to recycle. She mentioned that she was saving it because she liked the pictures. Why not use the calendar pictures as the framed art? I purchased six 12X12 frames from a discount store and cut the calendar in half at the staple binding. I secured each print slightly higher in the frame to hide the pinhole at the top of each picture. I put 2 pictures in the frame (one behind the other) so we can switch them out periodically. This way all 12 horses get rotated. So far, it has been a big hit. She told her classmates and now they are going green with their framed art, too!
