Fluoride Mouthwash for Kids
At a routine trip to my dentist, I found out that we don't have fluoride in our drinking water in Hawaii. Strangely enough, with all our moving across the ocean and whatnot, whether or not my kids were getting fluoride just wasn't one of those things that I was thinking about.
Neverthless, I know how important fluoride is, so once I learned that we didn't have fluoride in our drinking water, I wanted to make sure that I was giving my children the fluoride that the needed. Thankfully, my dentist recommended ACT Anticavity Fluoride Mouthwash by Johnson and Johnson. It costs less than $4 at WalMart in Hawaii, so it's probably less than $3 in many areas on the mainland.
My kids love this fluoride mouthwash and the added benefit is that since they have to brush their teeth in order to get the mouthswash, they now brush their teeth without any trouble.
It's important to note that fluoride, taken in large quantities, can act as a poison to humans. Make sure that you are always in charge of your child's fluoride routine!
