Great Natural Skin Care Product for Hands
This may come as a big surprise to you, since the government seems to regulate about everything - however, they don't regulate the personal health care industry at all. What that means us, consumers, is that we've got to pay attention to what's in the products that we are buying because no one else is going to do it for us. That's why I try really hard to choose only natural skin care products.
I'm typically not overly concerned about things like this because I know that there are other products that have a far greater potential for harm, but it seems silly to me to support companies that are using questionable ingredients in the products that they sell to the public. In fact, many skin care products that we use everyday contain known human carcinogens.
The point is, that it's worth your time to look at ingredients and to choose products from companies that make an effort to use natural and safe ingredients.
To that end, I really, really enjoy the natural skin care product that's available from Burt's Bees, the hand repair kit.
If you haven't heard of Burts Bees, they are an extremely responsible company that makes products that are both natural and high quality. According to their website, 50% of their products are 100% natural and they are working towards offering only natural skin care products. They also post all the ingredients in every single product and explain what they are, which makes me feel better about buying from them.
On top of being environmentally friendly, their products are extremely high-quality (I've loved everything I've used), and they are reasonably priced.
The Burt's Bees Hand Repair Kit comes with shea butter hand repair creme, beeswax and banana hand creme, lemon butter cuticle creme, an instruction booklet, and a super cute pair of gloves.

I also love Burts Bees. Mary Kay has some great products as well. None are tested on animals and I can check ingredients for anyone that is interested. A great homemade hand scrub for anyone interested is just lemon juice and sugar combined to make a paste. Too rough for the face but great for the hands. Also, a few drops of honey are great on the lips to seal in moisture and heal sore lips. Finally, avocado mixed with lime juice makes a great hair conditioner. Just rub in dry hair, allow to dry and then shampoo as usual.
Don't forget to mention that Burt's Bees products are not tested on animals.
I love Burts Bees. You can also get some good products at Whole Foods.
