Great Thrift Shop
Sister Thrift opened up a store on route 3A in Burlington (next to Abrama Pools). Look for the bright sign on the side of the road. They also have a thrift store in Watertown, MA. I recently dropped off some stuff and the place is neat, clean, friendly staff and organized. Prices are great and they sell name brand clothes too - some still with tags. They also consigne high quality clothes. Donations of clothing, household items, books, jewelry, videos, CDs, collectibles, etc. benefit the MetroWest Humane Society, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill animal shelter located in Ashland, and are tax deductible.
The variety always changes as most thrift stores do and out of curiosity I was browsing around. I was surprised to find a lot of Ann Taylor Loft shirts that were never worn for only $4.99 each! All tops at the Burlington store are $4.99 - what a deal and you'll be surprised that it's not "homeless" looking clothes. I found some Discovery Toys for my kids that were like new for only $3.99! Yes quite a bargain in my eyes. They are still looking for donations, especially kids items. Check them out, you might find something :-)
Another great thrift is Childrens Corner 299 Newton St. in Waltham near Global*** Shiela O
Just another tip that the place is open Tues-Fri 10-6 and Sat 10-4. They are closed on Sundays and Mondays.
Thank you!!! I will be going to this week with my boyfriend
Another good one is Global Thrift Store on Moody Street in Waltham. I'm amazed at some of the children's clothes I've found there. http://www.globalthriftstore.net/
EXCELLENT tip - I'll be sure to check it out. Thanks so much.
