Great Way to Salvage Mushy Blueberries

Tired of mushy blueberries?  I get so bummed when I pay a lot for blueberries and then I find that they are kind of mushy.  I found a few great ways to salvage them:

First - I throw them in the freezer.  I put them in a tupperware or plastic container and they'll keep for a long time.  The kids love eating them frozen - it's like a whole new healthy snack!

Another great use for these frozen, one mushy blueberries is to put them into blueberry muffins!   I love the Betty Crocker Wild Blueberry mix - but the small tin of tiny wild blueberries just doesn't have enough in it.   So I toss a bunch of regular sized frozen ones into the mix and they come out awesome!

Freezing berries seems to work best with blueberries for some reason.

Great idea! You can also use them up in smoothies.
