Hooray for Books
My son loves to read and cook and I found an awesome class that combines both! Hooray for Books in Hopkinton offers weekly classes, vacation/no school day camps and birthday parties for kids ages 1-10. All activities are focused on teaching kids to read with a side of cooking! My son has been going to HFB for the past year and absolutely loves it! Hooray for Books (http://www.hoorayforbooks.com/) is a one-of-a-kind children’s enrichment program. The classes are humorous, well-organized and like nothing else out there. Each class ties together reading & cooking activities with unique and engaging themes that really inspire children to want to read and cook on a regular basis. The teachers bring it all to life by dressing in funny costumes and the recipes are anything but run-of-the-mill! The best part is the classes are typically 1 ½-2 hours long so I can actually utilize the drop-off time and get in a work-out or shop. This is the one class my son begs to go to every week.
Some of the classes include:
Hooray for Books also has a K Stay program that combines reading, science and cooking activities. The staff is top-notch, which makes it a great option for Kindergartners.
The other great thing is that Hooray for Books is now franchising http://www.hoorayforbooks.com/franchise.html. So, if you or someone you know if looking for a new and family friendly career Hooray for Books might be just the thing. The company is very family-friendly and prides itself on being passionate about kids, laughter, reading and cooking. The President has 5 kids so that says a lot right there!
We also love Hooray for Books! The classes are great, like nothing else I have ever seen - such a unique concept! We had a birthday party there too - quality fun for the kids - each child bakes their own treat to bring home and they offer sooo many themes! They even offer goody bag items which saved me a lot of time!
