Not your ordinary mac-n-cheese recipe
My kids love mac-n-cheese but I was tired of giving them the same old boring "from the box" recipe. Plus I had to get some other types of nutrition into them. I found a great recipe on Kraft foods website and my kids love it. The only difference is that even though the recipe calls for ground beef, I use lean ground turkey instead for a more healthier dish. I add on A LOT of shredded cheese for the topping. We eat this as the main meal but you could also serve this as a side dish if you wanted to. This recipe is quick, easy to make, kids love it and even great heated up as leftovers.
I will try this with my granddaughter. She loves mac and cheese but eats very little meat.
Looks yummy. I often add peas to mac n cheese, peas would be a great addition to this recipe and would add some nutrition as well.
If you add chopped tomatos and mushrooms, its like pizza without the crust.
