Rainy Day Activities with Just Fabric Markers

If you have kids that get bored easily on a rainy day, grab some fabric markers, extra pillow cases, t-shirts or any other fabric item you can think of like a plain white sheet, fitted sheets etc.  Let the kids create their own master pieces with the fabric markers!  You know those shirts that have that small stubborn stain but the rest of the shirt is just fine - ask kids to be creative and use the markers to cover that stain and your shirt has now become wearable again.  This simple idea kept my kids busy for 3 hours and believe me, I was loving the creativity that was happening; my 8 year old decided to divide her pillowcase into 4 sections and created 4 separate themed drawings and she loves sleeping on it.  My 5 year old decided to practice her alphabet and wrote the entire ABC's on her pillowcase along with random cute drawings.  I hope this helps keep your kids busy and finds new use for items you were about to throw out!
