Recycled Crafts for Kids
My kids love crafts. I love crafts too. However, recently, I started to get a little worried about all the paper and other crafts supplies that we were going through at home. It was then that I found a great website on recycled crafts.
I knew there had to be a way to allow my kids to use their imagination by doing crafts, while also cutting back on our consumption of all those supplies. I just wasn't "crafty" enough to think of fun ideas using everyday household items.
If you're like me, check out the Free Kids Crafts website for tons of great ideas on making recycled crafts. All of the ideas they supply are free and they give great step-by-step instructions on exactly how to make each project and often provide pictures. There are great kids craft ideas for children of all ages and all interests.
The best thing is that they separate their projects by item - if you have a cardboard tube, an egg carton, or some extra containers for your kids to get creative with, you just choose the corresponding link and you're presented with all kinds of fun ideas.
You'll still have to buy some crafts supplies like markers, glue, paint, etc. but recycled crafts give you the advantage of also allowing your kids to use items around the house that would otherwise get thrown away.
I hope that you are able to find as many fun ideas on this website as we were! Happy crafting!
