Uses for French's Fried Onions
My daughter bought a huge can of French's Fried Onions for a recipe (Dad said they didn't have the small cans!?) Anyway, they were going to get stale, so I started throwing them in the salad, which added a delicious crunchy tang. Then, I put them in my turkey sandwich, on top of pasta and butter, in cream of mushroom soup, etc. I'm learning to use what's in the cabinet and not always buy more stuff. Reuse, reduce, recycle, save money!
I made a green bean cassorole this weekend and used them. Another recipe on the can was to use them in meatloaf. Sounds yummy. The only downside they are so high in fat.
