Long known for its apple butter, Bauman's Apples has plenty of varieties of apples, products and offers a free taste of cider. Better yet, it's situated amid Pennsylvania's charming landscape and tree-lined roads. The small, country shop is located in Sassamansville, PA, which is within Montgomery County on Hoffmansville Road. Take a peak at the factory behind the tiny shop to glimpse the apple-filled conveyor belt, as well as the large crates brimming with apples galore. All this scenery makes for wonderful fall scrapbooking photos! This is a real gem location to journey to during fall apple harvest time. Upon a visit, you can sample free, hot cider, or a refreshing apple slushy! This is a fun trip for couples to make together and enjoy the fall leaves during the drive.
My husband and I go to Bauman's every fall to purchase apples, cider and various jarred butters. I always savor the drive home, with bundles of apples in tow, thinking of the succulent recipes I'll bake with my Bauman's fare. Be aware though, that this tiny store is not open on Sundays, and only accepts cash transactions. We enjoy the shop's apple butter for its thick, rich spread made in the true Pennsylvania Dutch family tradition. The Bauman's Apple Butter is all natural and combines the best apples and cider. They even sell it with or without sugar.
Take a trip to Bauman's for savory apple products and a freebie sip of cider! Bring the kids, or steal away with your special someone for a romantic fall excursion. Otherwise, simply fly solo to take a brake from life's daily grind.
