Spend a day in play and experiment with an array of methods for applying color and pattern to fabric. Work with exhibiting artist Merill Comeau to learn direct painting, crayon and stitched resist, block printing and thermafax screening. Presentations will include resources for inspiration, color theory and samples of patterns. You will create an array of textile samples, which could then be used for collage, quilting, altering and personalizing clothing, or fine art. Bring a bag lunch. Beginners are welcome!
