The owners of Albuquerque Alpacas, Skip and Stacie Chavez, started breeding alpacas as a hobby, but over time, their idea evolved and today the farm is home to a large number of Huacaya Alpacas. The tour includes a visit to the craft room, where you can see the spinning wheel used to transform wool into beautiful scarves and sweaters.
