Activity Overview
Antelope Island is the largest island in the Great Salt Lake, which is located near Salt Lake City, Utah. The entirety of this beautiful island is part of Antelope Island State Park, which is home to one of the largest herds of free roaming American bison in the entire United States, as well as other wildlife such as bighorn sheep, mule deer, and many species of waterfowl.

Things to Do
- Go for a hike or bike ride around the island to see its diverse wildlife - in addition to its famous bison population, it is also home to pronghorn antelope, bighorn sheep, mule deer, badgers, bobcats, and coyotes.
- Bring along a pair of binoculars and go bird watching! The island is home to many bird species due to its wetland habitat, including ibises, pelicans, and gulls. You can also see birds of prey such as hawks, owls, and falcons.
- Have a family picnic in the park! It provides spectacular views of the Great Salt Lake that you can enjoy while you eat your meal.
