Activity Overview

Carytown is a historic shopping district in Richmond, Virginia that is known for its many independent shops and restaurants. Its most famous attractions are the Cary Court Shopping Center, which is one of the oldest outdoor shopping centers on the East Coast, and the Byrd Theatre, a cinema that has been in use since 1928. In addition to providing a wide variety of shopping and dining opportunities, Carytown is often the site of local festivals.
