Take the entire family out on a weekend to commune with nature at the Cedar Ridge Preserve. Whether you are a hiking fan or are more interested in trying some of the biking trails, this park offers you everything you need for a perfect workout in the middle of nature.
Choose one of the multiple educational programs that teach children and adults alike interesting facts about birds, climate, and flora. You can also sign up for one of the numerous field trips that take place every week. The Cedar Ridge Preserve is one of the prime birding locations in Dallas.

- Cedar Ridge Preserve has well-marked trails and ample parking space
- Do not miss the hummingbird and butterfly garden
- A map with labeled trails is available at the beginning of the trails so you can see the levels of difficulty and lengths
- The park is located just 30 minutes from Downtown Dallas
- Do not forget to bring your binoculars for field trips that involve bird watching
- Entrance is free, but donations are always welcome
