Activity Overview

Cedarock Park is a beautiful 414-acre state park located in central North Carolina, approximately an hour's drive from the city of Raleigh. If you're looking for a place to spend a day or two enjoying the great outdoors with your family, then Cedarock Park is a wonderful attraction to visit. It seemingly endless list of features includes 6 miles of hiking trails, 6 miles of equestrian trails, a fishing pond, playgrounds, two disc golf courses, and campsites. It is also home to the Cedarock Historical Farm, which teaches visitors of all ages about farm life in North Carolina during the 19th century.

Things to Do

• Play a round of disc golf! The Cedarock Disc Golf Course and the Wellspring Disc Golf Course both provide 18 holes with both amateur and professional tees.
• Explore the park using its hiking and equestrian trails - you can find a trail map here.
• Go fishing! You can fish along the banks of the fishing pond or along Rock Creek.
• Take your little one to the playground, where they can climb and slide to their hearts' content.

• Bring along a basketball or volleyball and use the public volleyball and basketball courts, or take advantage of the park's wide open grassy spaces by flying a kite, playing soccer, or throwing a frisbee.
• Spend the whole weekend surrounded by nature while camping at the primitive hike-in campsite near Rock Creek - it only costs $10 per night!
