Centennial Sculpture Park is a popular art attraction in the heart of Rochester, New York's Neighborhood of the Arts. It consists of 10 acres of Memorial Art Gallery's grounds which showcase several beautiful pieces of public artwork. It's a great place to explore on a sunny day with your family, especially if you love to see unique sculptures.

Things to Do

• Visit Unicorn Family by Wendell Castle, a cast-iron art installation that features a table, a giant lamp, and three unique chairs.
• View Creation Myth, a fascinating piece by Tom Otterness, which depicts a female sculpting a male. Several other small bronze figures created by the artist can also be found throughout the park, including one of Susan B. Anthony.
• Check out the huge colorful steel sculpture by Albert Paley called Soliloquy- you'll definitely want to have your camera ready in order to take a photo of it.

• While you're in the neighborhood, check out the Poets Walk and Story Walk on University Avenue and Goodman Street, two interactive sidewalk exhibits. You can use your phone to listen to poetry or a story that corresponds to codes embedded in the sidewalks.
• If you have some time, explore the Memorial Art Gallery, which contains thousands of impressive works of art from around the world, including paintings by Monet, Ancient Egyptian coffins, and medieval music recordings.
• Attend a concert at the Memorial Art Gallery or visit during one of their family day events to enjoy the many cultural activities and performances they offer.
