Activity Overview
The Chaparral Ice Center is an ice skating rink open to the public every day. Public skating is usually during the middle of the afternoon during the week and on the weekends, but there are also group skating times for large groups and birthday parties when you reserve ahead.

Chaparral Ice Center Insider Tips
Kids under 5 can skate free!
The weekends can get pretty packed with families, birthdays, and small children, so aim to skate during the week where you'll have more room on the ice. The crowds also diminish during the summer season, so ice skating for the day in the summer time will give you some reprieve from both the Texas heat and the large crowds downtown.
