Things to Do
- Take your kids here to watch the boats as they pass by the river and teach them a thing or two about how boats work.
- If you get hungry, eat lunch or grab snacks at the riverfront restaurants and cafe lined up along the riverwalk. Choose from a variety of dining options but make sure you pick an outdoor seat so you can eat facing the river.
- Bring your fishing gear (and your license) and find a good spot for a day of fishing.
- Rent a kayak and explore the river or you may also rent a bike if you want to stay on dry land. Equipment rentals are located alongside the river area.
- Sign up with tour companies for a guided tour down the Riverwalk. All the notable buildings of Chicago can be seen from this side of town and it is a good place to see and learn the wonders of Chicago's architecture.
