Activity Overview

Clayton County International Park is a popular recreation area in Jonesboro, Georgia, which is located just 20 miles south of downtown Atlanta. It is best known for its beach, which opens to the public each summer with attractions that include water slides, a kiddie pool, a water trampoline, and plenty of picnic tables and grills. Other park attractions that are open year-round include a tennis complex, a fitness center, fishing lakes, and indoor and outdoor playgrounds.

Things to Do

  • Cool off in the summertime by heading to the beach, which features fun attractions like water slides and has lifeguards to help keep swimmers safe.
  • Take your little one to one of the park's great playgrounds - there's even an indoor playground you can visit on a rainy day!
  • Play tennis with your family at the Clayton County Tennis Center, which has 17 lighted hard courts and offers tennis lessons.
