Activity Overview
Red Wing's Colvill Park sits on the banks of the Mississippi River on the Minnesota side of the border with Wisconsin. The Park itself offers a range of activities for visitors to take advantage of as well as a number of facilities that can be rented for events.
Things to Do
- The Park is a generally tranquil area where you can go for a walk or a picnic with your family. If you are looking for something more active then there is a boat launch which you can use to head out onto the Mississippi, a volleyball pitch, a discovery garden, a large children's playground and horseshoe pits all open to the general public.
- The Red Wing Water Park is also located here and makes a great day out for kids.
- The Park has a range of facilities available for rental at varying prices. The Colvill Courtyard is their largest space. Fully air conditioned or heated, depending on the time of year, the Courtyard can hold about 175 people.
- The Colvill Pavilion is another roofed facility for approximately 75 people. Alternatively you could opt for one of their four open air shelters which if not reserved can be used on a first come, first serve basis. Each of these shelters have large charcoal grills nearby which you can use.
