First opened during the Victorian Era, the conservatory has been a feature of San Franciscan history for over a century. The rich history, beauty, and educational value of this landmark entrances children and adults alike.

Things to See & Do

The Conservatory of Flowers is comprised of four permanent exhibits, which include potted plants, lowland tropics, highland tropics, and wetlands.

A fifth section is home to temporary special exhibits which have included butterflies and carnivorous plants. Visit the conservatory website to find out what special exhibit is featured when you visit.
