- Feeling hungry? There are plenty of nearby restaurants as Coronado is a popular resort destination.
- Head into the water to enjoy a spot of surfing, paddle boarding, boogie boarding, or just lie on the beach and take in the sun. Just don't forget to bring sunscreen!
- Do you and your family love fishing? If so, you can do so from the Ferry Landing Pier.
- Play in the tidepools.
- Have a game of beach volleyball.

- If you want to avoid the crowds, consider visiting the beach during the weekdays in summer or go during another season when the beach is bound to be quieter.
- Do you feel bad leaving your furry friends at home? Take your dog to the beach and let them run free along the northern part of the beach where they are more than welcome to do so.
- Keep an eye open for dolphins as these magnificent creatures are also known to frequent Coronado Central Beach.
- Save money on food by taking a picnic along as the weather is often nice enough to warrant dining al fresco and you don't really need to stop the kids playing like you would do when you dine in a restaurant.
- There are free places to park on both Ocean Boulevard and Ferry Landing Marketplace.
