Activity Overview
Toddlers and young children will love the freedom of expression that comes along with making a collage. Using contact paper as an art medium creates even more independence for little ones, as the sticky surface receives the lightweight items in the bin extraordinarily well. All they have to do it select a spot and press the objects on to create a masterful collage piece of art.
You may want to set this activity out with themes in mind. Try placing a variety of items in the bin in a certain color scheme. It can foster a young child's learning and exploration of their world to find things that are all the color red for example. Learning through art is both satisfying and fun!
