Activity Overview
Thanks to its great playground Crossroads Park is a top destination for families at any time of the year. It's even better during the summer months when the water features at its Water Play Area are turned on to be enjoyed by Seattle's youngsters. For this reason it is a very popular destination for families right through until the beginning of September when the water is turned off again.
Things to Do
- The water play area is the main draw at Crossroads Park. Though the playground is open all year round the water area is usually only turned on from Memorial Day through to Labor Day. You will find all kinds of water features that kids will love like spitting frogs, killer whales and squirting clams. It is the ideal place to cool off with your kids on a hot summer's day.
- Beginner golfers should get a kick out of the park's 3-par nine hole chip/putt gold course. It's a great course for those who are starting out and want to build up some experience. Ideal for bringing slightly older children along to as well!
- Gardeners may be interested in leasing out a plot of ground at the park's Seasonal Community Gardens. These plots are available to both groups and individuals to grow fresh produce. For more info you can call 425-452-7225.
Crossroads Park Water Play Area Insider Tips
- There is plenty more open to the public apart from what is mentioned above. With a large grassy area perfect for a picnic or a game of soccer, a full sized basketball court, tennis courts, a skate bowl and a horse show pit there are lots of options for activities and sports within the park.
