Activity Overview
Who knew that racing and the beach could mix? At Daytona Beach, you'll get the best of both worlds. Daytona Beach is both home of the NASCAR and the original American beach vibe. With the hard-packed sand here, you can drive your vehicle on the sand and park right on the beach. No need to carry your cooler and beach essentials all the way from the parking lot.
Things to Do
- Drive your vehicle along the beach and hop off when you find your spot. There's public parking available too if you want your car to stay off the sand. Rent chairs and umbrellas and let kids run off and have fun in the water.
- Sign up for a water activity with the family to add more fun to your beach experience. Choose from sailing, snorkeling, paddleboarding, jetskiing, parasailing, and kayaking.
- Go for a stroll and visit any of ten beachfront parks such as Lighthouse Point Park and Smyrna Dunes Park. You can swim, go for a nature walk, and climb observation towers in the parks. If you are into fishing, bring your gear too as some parks allow fishing from their piers.
- Since you're in the hometown of NASCAR, consider visiting museums as well as iconic locations like Daytona Beach Pier and Boardwalk.
