Detroit Kid City is a child sized version of a city where children can use pretend play to role play in the various shops that you would find in any city. But there is one unique twist at this playspace: at Kid City, kids rule!
Things to Do
Enjoy free imaginative playtime as you discover all the the mini Detroit city has to offer. Children can let their imaginations go wild in a city built just for them. Areas of active play include the Art Center, Automotive Station, Barber Shop Pizzeria, Bank, Post Office, and more.
Enjoy a specialty organic coffee, tea or kids' drink at the Museum Cafe.
Detroit Kid City Insider Tips
- Receive half price admission during the Museum's Happy Hour Monday through Friday from 1-3pm.
- A daily storytime is offered at 11am.
- There is a fun free craft activity included with each admission,
- Strollers are prohibited at this destination.
- Adult supervision is mandatory at all times. There is no rough play, yelling or running allowed.
- There is no outside food or drink allowed in the children's museum.
- You may not re-enter the museum once you leave.
- Fresh coffee is brewed on site and sold at the cafe along with other cafe style drinks.
- The museum is closed on Sundays for private parties.
- Beware of the membership option. Most museum memberships are good for a year. This museum offers a monthly membership for $100.
