Activity Overview
One of the funniest and most educational family attractions in Tampa, the Dinosaur World is home to no less than 150 life-size dinosaurs. Dinosaur World is conveniently located between Tampa and Orlando and features over 20-acres to explore in order to encounter some of the largest dinosaurs that ever roamed on the planet.
The park is located in a lush garden and the paved walkways make it easy to discover a variety of dinosaurs from both well-known and unusual species. Besides allowing the entire family to spend an educational and fun day, Dinosaur World is also a suitable option for a unique birthday party.
Things to Do
- Take the children to explore the animatronic dinosaur exhibit where they can see some of the dinosaurs come to life.
- The Dino Gem Excavation can provide little ones with lots of fun. This is a mining sluice where the entire family can try their hand at panning for real minerals, gems, and arrowheads.
- Other activities you can try at Dinosaur World include excavating in the Boneyard, Touch & Tell, and walking around the Skeleton Garden to learn more about how paleontologists uncover fossils.
