There are also multiple performance venues in the park, including the Anheuser-Busch Stage and the Fondren Performance Space, which are often used for outdoor concerts in the summertime. Things to Do
- Take young children under the age of 12 to the John P. McGovern Playground. It is designed with a theme that teaches children about the important bird migration route that passes over the city. Some of the play equipment features birds, and there are also signs that help to teach visitors young and old about the migratory route.
- Enjoy a concert at one of Discovery Green's many performance venues, including the Anheuser-Busch Stage, the Fondren Performance Space, and the Transier Bandstand.
- Try a new sport! Discovery Green has plenty of activities for you to discover with your friends and family, including shuffleboard and bocce.
- Kids will love kayaking in Kinder Lake. They can also rent remote-controlled sailboats on weekends for use in the park's special Model Boat Basin, where they can race boats with new and old friends.
