Eagle Falls Trail is a perfect trail for hiking and the exploring the Lake Tahoe area, the trail is a short and moderate to easy hike as compared to other hiking trails in the area. The trail is very busy due to it's natural beauty and moderate to easy access that is why it becomes very crowded during the peak Summer season. The trail takes you to Eagle falls, which is the most beautiful waterfall in the area. If you are looking for a short and enjoyable hiking day trip for your family, do visit Eagle falls Trail head May through September.

Things to Do

  • Get a wilderness permit from the Eagle Falls trail head and enjoy hiking on a magnificent terrain that will expose you and your family to nature and its beauty.
  • The trail covers a distance of almost 2 miles in round trip, it can be completed in 45 minutes on a steady pace.
  • Though the trail is open all year round, but Spring and Summer season are the best seasons to hike.
  • On your way take in the breath taking beauty of the Lake Tahoe terrain, see lush green landscapes, pine trees and waterfalls.
  • It is hard to find parking during the peak season, this is the most challenging part.
  • Wear good walking shoes and bring plenty of water.
