If you're anything like me, you try to be careful about not adding too much unnecessary plastic to the landfill, but storing all those plastic shopping bags neatly can be a real challenge. Well, not anymore!
Use empty baby wipes containers to help control your plastic bag clutter! Not only is this a great way to recycle and re-use those bags, but you are also giving that wipes container a second life, which in turn puts even less plastic in the landfill. Plus, the built-in slot in the top of the wipes container makes grabbing just one bag easy peasy! You'd be surprised how many bags will fit into just one of those wipes containers!
And this tip travels well, too! Keep a container of bags in each of your cars so that you will always have a trash bag handy when you're on the go. I live in Montgomery County, MD, where merchants are now required to charge customers a 5-cent "bag tax" for every new disposable shopping bag they use, so keeping a stash of bags in your car will ensure that you always have a bag with you for those unplanned shopping trips. Now that bags are no longer free in our county, there is even more incentive to re-use the ones we've got. That's a plus for the environment!
My kids have been out of diapers for several years now, but I made sure to hold onto a few of these handy containers! They are good for lots of different organizing projects.
