Fannie Mae Dees Park and Lily's Garden Playground Insider Tips
- The story behind Lily's Garden is one of great community spirit and individual human courage. When a young girl by the name of Lily Shaw was diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy her mother Lynne Shaw dreamed of a place where she could play with all of her able-bodied brothers. Thanks to the involvement of hundreds of volunteers her dream became a reality with the construction of this special playground.
- The park's parking lot is very small and cannot adequately serve visitor's needs on busy days. If you are visiting during what is likely to be a busy time expect to have to find space on the surrounding streets.
