Frank Lloyd Wright Wisconsin preserves the work, history and provides tours to the houses built by Wisconsin based architect, Frank Lloyd Wright. Visitors can tour the buildings designed by noted architect Frank Lloyd, the architect has been recognized as the greatest American architect of all time. Taliesin in Wisconsin is the home and estate of the famous architect, and it is a national historic landmark. Visitors can tour the historic estate, tours run May through October. Four types of tours are offered and advance booking for the tours is recommended.
Things to Do
- If you appreciate and love architecture, you'd certainly enjoy a trip to Taliesin near Spring Green, the house tour lasts for about 2 hours.
- Visitors can take the studio and theater tour, or the estate tour that lasts for about 4 hours. The house tour is offered everyday seasonally and also in April and November.
- The 800-acre residential estate was the home of Frank Lloyd Wright from 1911 to 1959, in his home he innovated many architectural designs and wonders.
- The tours are guided and depart from the visitor center. Visit the River view terrace cafe for some great views and Taliesin book store located in the visitor center.
- Tours involve a lot of walking, visitors must wear comfortable walking shoes.
