Activity Overview
Ever since it was built in 1994 the Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater has welcomed some of the biggest names in music to play. It is a great venue that makes a welcome change from soulless concert halls. With a capacity of around 2300 it is smaller in size than the kind of venues that usually attract A-list musicians it allows you to get closer than usual to your favorite acts. Every seat here is a great seat so you won't miss a beat of the performance. Events here only take place during the summer months and it makes a great way to spend a warm summer's night.

- Some of the biggest names in music have graced the stage at the Fred. Former performers include The Beach Boys, Dionne Warwick, Smokey Robinson, The Temptations, B.B King, Peter Frampton, Bryan Adams, George Benson, Grand Funk Railroad and Styx. With all of these top names you are sure to find something during their summer season that you will enjoy. The ticket prices are reasonable so you won't have to break the bank to get a seat.

- One of the things that make the Fred so special is that it is one of the very few venues which you can bring a cooler and food along to. So bring along your own grub and make a night of it! If that strikes you as a bit too much work there is also a bar and food available.
