Activity Overview
Come to Elizabethtown’s Freeman Lake Park for some history and recreation.
History buffs will appreciate a stop in to see the updated, one-room schoolhouse which was originally built with handmade shingles in 1892, and also Lincoln Heritage House, a log cabin created in part by the father of Abraham Lincoln.
Those in a sporty mood can involve themselves in one of the activities featured at the park, including disc golf, boating, and fishing.
Things to Do
- Take advantage of the sporting activities available, including volleyball, tennis and disc golf.
- Bring a picnic lunch and eat along the lake in one of the two large picnic shelters.
- Bring the children to play on the swings and feed the ducks.
- Give your pup some exercise in the 2.5 acre dog park.
- Go for a scenic walk with the family, run or bike ride on one of the trails surrounding the lake.
