Things to Do
- Take the Airboat Tour with one of Gator Park's experienced guides to see wild alligators, soft-shelled turtles, and birds. If you're lucky you'll get to see Jumbo, the massive 9-foot long alligator who often appears during tours to say hello.
- Attend one of Gator Park's wildlife shows to learn all about the animals that live in the Everglades. Make sure you have your camera ready when the alligator wrestling starts - the technique used by the park's wildlife experts was originally used by Seminole Indians to capture alligators, but is now used to show off the immense power and agility that alligators possess.
- Keep an eye out for beautiful birds as you explore the Everglades by airboat - it is home to species such as ospreys, great blue herons, white ibises, egrets, and roseate spoonbills!
